United Kingdom Takemusu Aiki Federation
United Kingdom Takemusu Aiki Federation (UKTAF) is the UK branch of Takemusu Aikido Kyokai(TAK), the organisation created by Ulf Evenas and Paolo Corallini to nourish, maintain and propogate the Aikido of Morihiro Saito Sensei worldwide.
UKTAF has been recently created by Andy Hathaway, long time dojo cho of the London Aikido Club, a full time dojo devoted to the Aikido of Morhiro Saito since the early 1980's.
- The specific aims of UKTAF are:
- Preserve the aikido and teaching methods of Morihiro Saito Sensei
- Remain close to the Aikikai Foundation
- Disseminate Aikido in a spirit of friendship
- Provide a national (UK-wide) focus to:
- Preserve the teachings
- Organise seminars both nationally and internationally
- Provide access to the British Aikido Board for members which includes making insurance available to students and instructors
- To be able to create Aikido instructors according to the British Aikido Board remit
- Register dan ranks with the Aikikai
- Build and maintain a library and archive material pertaining to the Aikido of Morihiro Saito Sensei
SEMINARS with United Kingdom Takemusu Aiki Federation (UKTAF)
UKTAF UK Branch of Takemusu Aiki Kyokai) is organising INTERNATIONAL SEMINARS in May and September 2011 at Kelmscott Leisure Centre London with Paolo N. Corallini and Ulf Evanas Senseis.
